"A Wholistic Life: Honoring God Through Health"

by Belkys Gomez

Scripture:
"Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you... therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."
—1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (NKJV)

Message:
God created us not only for worship but also for wellness. As believers, we are called to care for our bodies as sacred vessels—temples of the Holy Spirit. This includes nourishing ourselves with wholesome foods, resting as God designed, staying physically active, drinking water, getting sunlight and fresh air, managing stress through prayer, and trusting in His healing power.

Health is not just a personal goal; it's a spiritual responsibility. When we are healthy, we are better equipped to serve others, fulfill our calling, and enjoy the abundant life Jesus promised (John 10:10). Taking care of our health is a form of stewardship and an act of praise.

Let us remember that our wellness journey is not about achieving perfection, but about walking daily with the Great Physician, Jesus Christ.

Health Tip:
Eat a variety of fruits and vegetables. God gave us vibrant, healing foods that fuel our energy and support immunity.

Health Ministries Thought:
Health is a ministry. Let us be the hands and feet of Jesus, not only in service, but also in how we care for the temple He has entrusted to us.

Prayer:
Lord, help us to honor You with our bodies. Teach us to rest, eat, move, and live in a way that brings glory to You. Bless our church family with strength, energy, and peace of mind. In Jesus' name, Amen.
